Brooke/Lucas - Brucas History
It was lust at first sight for Brooke Penelope Davis and Lucas Eugene Scott. She was after him to feed her sexual needs and for the thrill of adventure while he didn't want to give her the time of day.
After achieving his goal and wowing the Tree Hill Ravens basketball fans by scoring the winning shot, Lucas was greeted in his car by the naked cheerleading captain. How many moments in life can you point to and say, "That's when it all changed?" At the time the feisty brunette was referring to basketball and the social status, but they would come to learn it could easily sum up their relationship.
It wasn't all rainbows and butterflies for our beloved Broody and Cheery, though, after all, he was still hung up on Peyton. After a bitter game of truth or dare and rejection on Peyton's part, he was willing to let go.
B. Davis and P. Sawyer needed some girly best friend time and settled for a party at Duke. Peyton was drugged, but Brooke came to the rescue and called the only boy she knew would be there in a heartbeat: Lucas.
While watching Peyton to make sure she was okay, Lucas really got to know Brooke and realized she wasn't what he thought. They talked to the early hours of the morning before promising to call each other if they needed anything; at all.
And so the tale begins.
The book was "The Winter of Our Discontent." The challenge was for Brooke to read it and in return, get a date with Lucas. Not daring to turn down a challenge or a date, she accepted. He kept his promise and allowed her to drag him around town only to end up at the Blue Post. They'd played pool in which she kicked his butt in and shared many secrets about herself. Lucas was intrigued to say the least and he finally let loose.
What's your take on tattoos? Those were the only words Lucas needed to hear. Sparks flew as they devoured each other's mouths in the middle of the bar. Needless to say, Lucas went home with a tattoo and without his virginity.
Some would call it a whirlwind romance, others would prefer to limit it to strictly a fling, but whichever it was, it couldn't be denied the two shared something. Their kisses were coated with passion, lust, and want and their chemistry was so intense. The couple shared many rendezvous including a visit to a stranger's hot tub and a trip to the store for whipped cream and condoms. It seemed as though nothing would get in their way now; Brooke was falling fast and Lucas seemed happy to be where he was.
Then the phone rang.
Peyton had been informed that her dad's trudging boat was caught in a storm and a body was recovered which she needed to identify. Brooke volunteered Lucas to go with her and they'd set off. It started off as an innocent road trip, but once they discovered it wasn't her dad, they celebrated. Peyton had left her mother's bracelet at the hotel and they had to go back in search of it only to end up ripping each others clothes off. Lucas stopped everything before it went too far thanks to the necklace Brooke had given him and they returned to Tree Hill like nothing happened.
Karen was returning from Italy soon and while Brooke was nervous for her homecoming, Lucas was going behind her back with Peyton.
I'm falling for him, big time. I know, it's crazy, but this is like L-O-V-E mad crushed out. I'm in big trouble.
You better feel guilty, Blondie. After hearing Brooke's feelings, Peyton called off hers and Lucas' confession and made them leave. Brooke and Lucas were adorable as ever walking the streets with hot chocolate, discussing Karen and Keith's relationship.
People who are meant to be together always find their way in the end. Once again, Brooke was referring to something else, but they never realized how close to home those words hit.
Then the accident happened. Keith ran a red light and that landed Lucas in the hospital. Brooke was there for him every second of every day and had even grown on Karen. She did so many things for him including feng shui-ing his room. Lucas was still hung up on Peyton, though, and ended up breaking up with her declaring the reason was he just needed some healing time. Brooke was heartbroken by this and Peyton even had the audacity to ditch her in her time in need to go be a cheater. Bravo, Peyton, bravo!
Brooke had been talking to Karen about her vacation to Italy and helping her make a scrapbook when she was asked to go check on Lucas only to discover him not in his room. She went to the hospital with Karen, pretty suspicious of why he was there with Peyton, but leaving it alone for the time being. Later in the evening Brooke confronted Peyton. She told her she knew about them going behind her back and that she never wanted to talk to her ever again. Lucas saw it all.
Brooke avoided Lucas pretty well until the pregnancy scare. She told him the doctor said she was indeed pregnant and he was willing to help her. They had a deep heart to heart although it was painful for Brooke not only to hear him say he wasn't in love, but having to tell him she was lying. She wasn't pregnant.
They spent the rest of the time not speaking and she even rekindled her friendship with Peyton while he went to Charleston with Keith. Declaring "hoes over bros, buds over studs," they vowed to not hurt each other again. That wouldn't last for long, though after Brooke discovered Peyton had been hiding the letter Lucas had written before he left. Peyton begged and pleaded Brooke to forgive her stating her reason as not wanting Lucas to get in the way again. She forgave her and the two had a blast the rest of the day with a fire on the beach. In the midst of playing tag, the one boy who had torn them apart showed up looking for forgiveness.
They worked together to make Nathan and Haley's reception the best it could be and had a blast while doing it. The three of them were going to be fine.
The new kids were in town: Felix and Anna Tagarro. Felix was after Brooke, Anna was after Lucas. Brooke declared her relationship with Felix strictly sex after finding a picture of her and Lucas, and Anna and Lucas decided to go to formal together. What's Tree Hill without drama, though?
Felix: I'm not Lucas!
Brooke: No, you're not...You know why? Because I am not gonna let you in! You don't get to have me; not my body and sure as hell not my heart! We're done!
Brooke had stormed off to the beach only to be greeted by Lucas. He reassures her that she's not an idiot and makes it obvious that he knows how badly he hurt her. Offering to take her home, she declines at first, but then accepts. They went out to eat breakfast and Brooke says they need to be friends more. Ah, step one.
After much thought, Lucas decides to break up with Anna. There is another girl and she is slipping away. Meanwhile, Felix is manipulating his way into Brooke's heart and she lets him in, wanting that security. We discovered Brooke was the girl Lucas was talking about when he showed up on her doorstep looking completely heartbroken by the sight he sees. Lucas hid his feelings from Brooke, jumping at any chance to be with her that he could while she was running for student council president.
Keith's wedding was a beautiful time for the two. They furthered their friendship, but mostly their hidden feelings for each other. After all the chaos, though, Brooke received the news that she would be moving to California the next week. Lucas comforted her, determined to figure out a way to get her to stay.
Brooke was going to miss being the girl behind the red door. Lucas was going to miss the girl behind the red door. After a walk, Lucas brought Brooke over revealing a red door to his bedroom. Brooke was confused to say the least, especially when she realized all of her belongings were moved into his room. He informed her that he'd gotten his mom to convince her parents to let her stay. He wasn't ready to lose her yet and she wasn't ready to be lost.
There were small, thoughtful moments exchanged between the two as the year went on. Brooke comforted him when Nathan got in the accident, he thanked her for being there for everything, and they went on the road trip to visit Haley. Brooke had recently discovered things Peyton gave him when they were in the 'Triangle from Hell' and she reassured him that it was okay that he wanted to be with her. Lucas was confused by what she meant, but let it go.
The days were winding down until she left for California and he was struggling to tell her how he felt. In the last few moments she was in his arms, he kissed her. She stepped away confused as he spilled his heart out to her. But she needed to go.
Three months later they met unexpectedly at the airport. They hadn't spoken all summer and he was surprised to see her there. She was disappointed that he wasn't there for her, and after a somewhat kind punch to the gut, she left. He later showed up to his room where she was packing to move into her new apartment with flowers. They agreed to have a summer-like fling only in the fall, otherwise known as non-exclusive dating.
After overcoming many obstacles such as the fantasy boy draft, trolls named Rachel, Chris Keller, and much teasing and flirting, Brooke bared her soul to him. She'd written him 82 letters over the summer, one a day, and had finally worked up enough confidence to give them to him. She wasn't expecting him to forgive her, but he did and they said their "I love you's" for the first time ever.
They were together now and in love, but it still wasn't perfect. Brooke still had insecurities with Lucas and Peyton that she was trying so hard to overcome, but couldn't. While Lucas was away, she took her mind off of it with her fashion. Clothing had always been a passion of hers and now she finally got the chance to pursue it.
Brooke and Lucas went through a lot in the few months after getting back together. They went got through jealous fits, deaths, and the triangle once again rearing its ugly head.
At Nathan and Haley's vow renewal we were confirmed of their unconditional love for each other. Lucas told Brooke his heart is with her and Brooke begged Lucas to let her all the way in. They topped it off with the most adorable dance and conversation this show has had.
The doors are still open to how their relationship is going to go. No matter where they take us, we will always remember the story of Brooke Penelope Davis and Lucas Eugene Scott. They went through thick and thin and still managed to make it out on top. May their love live on for eternity.
