Brooke Davis appears as your typical rich and popular cheerleader. At a glance it seems as if that is all she is; shallow, rich and popular. But once the curtain that she wraps around herself is taken away, the real Brooke starts to come out; a caring, kind, loving and loyal person with a big heart.

From the beginning...

Out of lust, Brooke sets her sites on Lucas Scott, a charming outsider who joined the Tree Hill Ravens (basketball team). Soon, after appearing naked in the backseat of his car, Brooke gets Lucas to go on a date with her. That is where their relationship starts. For the short time that they were together, Lucas changed Brooke, showing her that it was ok to be who she was. Brooke fell fast for Lucas, but the same didn't happen for Lucas. Lucas began to cheat on Brooke with his real love interest at the time, Brooke's best friend, Peyton Sawyer. The cheating goes on for awhile behind Brooke's back until Lucas is in an almost fatal car accident. This accident leads Lucas to break up with Brooke because he wants to be with Peyton. The first guy Brooke had ever fallen for had broken her heart into pieces. But her heart was about to be broken into a million more.

Brooke almost instantly finds out that Lucas had been cheating on her with Peyton and lying about it to her face, which rips and tares at her heart until she just can't take it and starts to breakdown. Brooke hated Lucas and Peyton and wanted nothing to do with them. Brooke felt more alone than ever with the loss of her best friend, boyfriend and the distant relationship she had and still has with her parents.

The Brooke that started to come out of her shell quickly went back into it again. She started to once again cover up her identity. Brooke didn't have to much time to get lost in sadness as she soon found out that she might be pregnant with Lucas' baby. She got scared and confused, but hid it with anger. She and Lucas started to fight constantly. When the pregnancy test showed up positive, both were scared out of their minds. When Brooke went to see the doctor to confirm her pregnancy though, the results were negative. Brooke lies to Lucas to get back at him for cheating saying that she is pregnant and that the baby is his. This drives for even more arguments once Lucas found out it was a lie and instantly gets mad at Brooke yelling "So you lied to me to punish me?! How could you do that?" with Brooke's response of "How could you cheat on me with my best friend?"

As Brooke's sophomore year wrapped to a close, even more secrets were revealed. Both Brooke and Peyton found out that Lucas had cheated on Peyton by sleeping with a girl named Nikki from a bar, which leads them to rekindle their friendship. The school year ends with Brooke and Peyton as friends again, and Lucas moving away to start over because he didn't like the decisions he had made in the past year.

On the road to Independence...

After a long summer, Brooke and Peyton were better friends than ever. Everything seemed like it was getting back to normal. Brooke was finally 'over' Lucas and was starting to become more independent. But Lucas, who realized that running away from your problems doesn't fix them, returned to Tree Hill.

As junior year started up, Brooke and Lucas started becoming friends. Unbeknownst to Brooke, Lucas started to have rising feelings for Brooke. Lucas started to get to know Brooke a lot better as their friendship became stronger. Just as Brooke had first, Lucas started falling hard for Brooke.

Felix was the new guy in town and coincidentally, the new neighbor of Brooke. At first Brooke hated Felix, but Felix wouldn't give up on her and she eventually came around. When Brooke decided that she needed a break (from Lucas) the two began to do friends-with-benefits. Brooke stated that it is "easier to feel nothing, than to feel anything at all." As the school year wore on, Felix began to fall hard for Brooke and the two began a relationship. Brooke shared mutual feelings for Felix, but never fell for him the way that he did for her.

Everyone in Tree Hill started falling for Brooke Davis. Brooke's friend Mouth was in love with her, but didn't feel that he was 'good enough' for her. Surprisingly, Brooke's ex-boyfriend, Lucas fell in love with her fast. Felix also had L-O-V-E spelled out all over him. At the time Brooke didn't know that Mouth and Lucas had feelings for her. Brooke was 'happy' with Felix but didn't know if she even wanted a boyfriend.

Through junior year Brooke Davis transformed from the shallow and preppy cheerleader she was just a year ago, to a responsible and independent woman. Brooke ran for Student Council President against a very bright girl named Erica Marsh and won the election. Brooke started to see more good to things than bad and started to see the other side of things when her dad lost his job and her family lost all their money.

Brooke ended things with Felix when he wrote 'Dyke' on her best friend's locker. For the first time ever Brooke felt like she didn't need to be dependent on boys. Brooke Davis had grown up over junior year.

Things weren't about to get any easier for Brooke. After attending a disastrous wedding with Lucas for Lucas' uncle Keith, Brooke received the news that her father got a job in California and that she would have to move the following week. Brooke didn't want to go. She didn't want to leave her life and all her friends behind. Luckily, for her, the ever so gushing Lucas got his mom to convince Brooke's parents to let Brooke live at their house for the remaining months of the school year.

During the second half of Junior Year, feelings for Lucas started to rise again. Brooke and Lucas had become good friends and spent a lot of time together. Just as she was ready to re-open her heart to Lucas, Brooke found the reminiscences of things Lucas had kept in his closet of Peyton from when he and Peyton were sneaking around behind Brooke's back. Re-tracing those memories caused a lot of pain for Brooke. She began to think that Lucas was still into Peyton, when in reality Lucas was head over heals in love with Brooke.

With Brooke about to leave to California for the summer, Lucas realized it was either now or never to tell Brooke how he felt. Just when Brooke was ready to say 'Goodbye Tree Hill' for the summer, Lucas came to bid her goodbye. After a hug between the two, Lucas stroking the back of her hair, the two separated from their hug, and after a second or so, Lucas kissed her. All the feelings Brooke had for Lucas that were buried deep inside her came rushing back. Brooke, who didn't want to get into the mess of her and Lucas again says, "Tell me that was a goodbye kiss." Lucas who can't help it responds by saying "? I want to be with you, Brooke."

As Brooke leaves for the summer, she is sad, confused and crying. Her junior year was the year where she found who she was and took a step forward. She became responsible, independent and found that she didn't need boys to be happy. As time moves on though, with unstableness in her heart, she takes a step back.

One step forward... two steps back...

When Brooke returns from California she realizes that she has been in love with Lucas since her sophomore year, but she is afraid of getting hurt again so she decides that they her and Lucas would date, just non-exclusively.

Lucas doesn't date other girls because he just wants to be with Brooke, so Brooke accidentally sets him up with a new bratty cheerleader whom Brooke is jealous of in their "Fantasy Boy Draft".

The 'bratty' cheerleader's name is Rachel who Brooke constantly feuded with. Rachel was competition for Brooke and Brooke was jealous of her at times. Fights constantly broke out between the two, and friends were torn between them.

When Lucas goes over to Brooke's house one night, she is in bed with Chris Keller. Chris is Haley's musical partner and the reason Haley and her husband Nathan almost annulled their marriage. Lucas was angry at Brooke, and had experience his first heart-ache. But Brooke explained that she only did it because she was scared to get too close to Lucas.

They finally reunited. However, Brooke is always left with her insecurities about Lucas and Peyton which leads to major problems in their relationship.

Peyton tells Brooke that she has feelings for Lucas which made Brooke furious. At Nathan & Haley's wedding, Brooke found out about the kiss that Peyton and Lucas shared in the library, but Lucas assured her that it didn't mean anything. But Brooke remained mad at Peyton and ended her friendship with her saying to Peyton that she is a "two faced bitch" and that she doesn't care if she will never see her again.

After the first half of senior year, Brooke Davis has overcome fear, love, & hate and in the midst of all of it, she has been able to steadily remain the same person, sometimes hiding herself from the world, and other times letting people in just a little to see a part of who she really is.

What comes in the future for Brooke is unknown. One thing that we know for certain is that know matter what, Brooke Davis will always be the caring, kind, loving and loyal person that we know her to be, even if she tries with all her might to hide it.

Brooke has many roads yet to drive in life, and we can't wait to see the roads she chooses to take.
